Throughout the Year……..

Maple Valley Band Boosters offers many opportunities for parents to get involved:

Parents meet once a month to discuss upcoming events and work out details of fundraisers. 

In the Fall we ask band parents to provide snacks for the Pep Band during football games.  This is also a chance for you to come to the band room, enjoy some coffee or hot chocolate and spend some time getting to know the band, Mr. Palmer, and fellow band parents.  Come share your mad baking skills with the students…..they will definitely appreciate it!!

There is always a need for parent help for different fundraisers throughout the year.

These fundraisers go towards band trips, band equipment, uniform updates, music lessons for students asked to switch instruments, as well as general support of the band program throughout the year.   The 2009/10 fundraisers include Plush Pippen Pies and Butter Braids!  Any and all help is accepted and truly appreciated!

Swing Dance

Pacific Ballroom provided swing dance lessons and the music was performed by the Jazz band with Mr. Palmer directing.

A good time was had by all that attended. A big shout out to all the students that worked so hard organizing and decorating. The St. Patrick’s Day theme had just the right touches of green and gold.

Thank you to all the adult volunteers that helped make the evening a success!

End of Year Band Banquet

The band banquet for 2010 is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, June 3^rd and is a celebration of the students’ accomplishments throughout the year.  It is also a wonderful, somewhat irreverent send off for the seniors.

This is a potluck event.  Seniors provide the drinks, Juniors provide the desserts and Sophomores provide the main dish. 

Traditionally the Junior class provides the theme for the evening and the decorations.

This is a chance for you to witness the incredible friendships and dedication of our THS Band members.
